TL;DR: Interesting idea, loads of potential, doesn't quite live up to it.
I read the comic book this was based on several years back. I remember hearing the premise and thinking it was a brilliant idea: Vampires show up in a town where the sun will not rise for a solid month. Like Disneyland for them.
The comic was good, but in my opinion the ending was a bit of a letdown.
I finally got around to watching the movie, and honestly I feel the same way. It's not a bad movie by any means. But some of the acting could be stronger. And some things just kinda... happen... and it got a bit old seeing things that were just unexplained.
And that ending. (No spoilers) I think I get what they are going for. But, I don't know, it still feels like a letdown to me.
