I had never heard of this movie before seeing it on a list of the "best of the 2000s so far"-type list. But oh man am I glad I found it.
Sasha is a "teenage" vampire who simply does not want to kill. Unlike others in her family, when she sees violence, her fangs do not come out. The reason for this is shown at the very beginning, and it's funny and I'm not going to spoil it here.
She eventually meets Paul, a teen who is suicidal. He agrees to let her kill him, and she asks what his dying wish is. So they set out to fulfill his wish. As you can imagine, hijinks ensue.
I laughed a lot at this movie, and was suprised several times at the turn it took. Up until the very end I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to turn out. Which is rare, and fun.
At its core, the film is a coming-of-age story, with a bizarre vampiric twist. It's a lot of fun.
